The concept is simple: for every purchase made through Hemetic, we will reserve 5% of the sale for our Fuel for Thought fund. The money raised through this program will be used to provide financial resources to ambitious creatives in pursuit of a larger goal.
HOW IT WORKS
Funds generated for the Fuel for Thought program are currently being used to fund ongoing grant contests. These contests are open ended, with the only requirement being that entries should reflect the desire to achieve a higher goal, whether through art, music, business, sport, or any other creative endeavor.
How Are Winners Selected?
Fuel for Thought winners are selected via a two stage judging process, helping to ensure that funds are spent on projects that seem realistic and trustworthy. Step one of the process is an open voting period in which the public is encouraged to vote (up to once per day) for their favorite entry in the grant contest. At the end of the voting period, the top 10 entries with the most votes will make it to the next round. Of the 10 finalists, a panel of Hemetic judges will select the winner(s) of the contest and award prize money accordingly.
STEP ONE
While some grant contests will feature specific themes, others will be more open ended, ensuring that there's always an opportunity to seek a grant through Fuel for Thought, no matter what your vision is.
STEP TWO
After identifying the active grant contest that feels most relevant to your mission, submit your best pitch. In the submission phase, you'll be able to talk about your idea, explain how you'll use the grant, and provide media, giving voters the ability to share your vision.
STEP THREE
Once you've submitted your entry, it's time to rally the troops. For each active grant contest, there will be an open voting period, during which time it's your job to tell your friends, family, and supporters to vote for your entry up to once per day. At the end of the voting period, the top 10 entires will be evaluated by a panel of Hemetic judges who will select the submission(s) that appears to have the highest chances of succeeding.
Our first ever Fuel for Thought Grant Contest is open ended, meaning there are no themes or requirements to meet. If you’re in pursuit of a creative endeavor and could use a financial boost, we encourage you to enter. Once your entry is live, we encourage you to reach out to your network of friends, family, and supporters in an effort to earn enough votes to make it to the final round!
